Dunamu and Visa have formed a partnership to explore stablecoin payments, remittances and AI financial services.

Dunamu operates South Korean crypto exchange Upbit, while Visa will bring its global payment network.

The companies will study stablecoin payments, merchant settlement and cross-border transfers, but no product has launched.

The partnership will also examine Open USD, or OUSD, a dollar-backed stablecoin developed through the Open Standard initiative.

Dunamu previously said its involvement with Open Standard was still under review, meaning it is not confirmed as an OUSD issuer.

The companies will also study AI-powered commerce, where software can search, buy products and make payments for users.

Visa shares closed at US$380.50 on August 27, down 0.89%, while Dunamu is privately held and has no listed share price.
