DTCC taps Ondo for tokenisation working group
Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation has selected Ondo Finance to join an industry working group focused on developing tokenisation standards for US capital markets.
The initiative brings together traditional finance giants including BlackRock, JPMorgan, and Goldman Sachs alongside more than 50 crypto firms such as Circle and Robinhood.
“…DTCC holds over $114 trillion in assets and clears $3.7 quadrillion annually… Ondo is among the select firms contributing to its design,”
The announcement said.
The working group will help design a tokenisation framework enabling real-world assets to be issued on blockchain infrastructure while maintaining existing investor protections and ownership rights.
Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation said it plans to begin limited production transactions of tokenised assets in July 2026, followed by a broader platform launch in October 2026, and the share price was unchanged at $XX.
DTCC CEO Frank La Salla said tokenisation could transform market structure by improving liquidity, transparency, and efficiency.
The move highlights accelerating convergence between traditional finance and decentralised systems, as institutions explore blockchain-based infrastructure for capital markets.
At the time of reporting, Ondo price was $0.3184.
