
A man has been arrested after police discovered drugs, cash and equipment during a motorway vehicle stop in Shropshire.
West Mercia Police said officers stopped a suspicious car in the early hours of the morning.
The vehicle was intercepted at around 01:00 GMT on the M54 near junction 4.
The stop took place close to Telford following concerns raised by officers on patrol.
Police carried out a search of the vehicle shortly after it was brought to a halt.
During the search, officers uncovered a quantity of suspected class A drugs.
Police estimated the street value of the drugs to be between £600 and £800.
Officers also discovered £1,000 in cash inside the vehicle.
A set of weighing scales was found alongside the drugs and cash.
Police said the items recovered were consistent with suspected drug supply activity.
The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man, was arrested at the scene.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The man was taken into police custody for further questioning.
