Dinari opens 500 tokenised stocks to Americans
- Dinari launched tokenised versions of all S&P 500 stocks for eligible US investors through self-custody wallets.
- Each dShare is backed one-to-one by an underlying stock held with a regulated custodian.
- Dinari said its platform supports 6,139 tokenised assets and already operates across 85 jurisdictions outside the US.
Dinari launched tokenised versions of all S&P 500 stocks, giving eligible US investors blockchain-based access to about 500 companies.
Users can fund accounts with USD Coin (CRYPTO:USDC) and hold tokenised shares directly through compatible self-custody wallets.
Dinari CEO Gabriel Otte said he expects blockchain tokens to eventually become trusted records of stock ownership.
Dinari said each dShare is backed one-to-one, with holders receiving voting, dividend, corporate action and redemption rights.
The company said blockchain settlement can happen almost instantly, compared with the standard settlement period for traditional stock trades.
Dinari currently supports 6,139 tokenised assets and operates across 85 jurisdictions outside its new US offering.
The tokenised stock market reached nearly US$1.7 billion by June after growing about 600%, according to an a16z report.
