DeFi Development Corp (NASDAQ:DFDV) will raise CHAD’s annual dividend rate from 13% to 14%, effective 2 November 2026.
The increase lifts annual dividends to $1.40 per share, up from $1.30, based on CHAD’s $10 stated value.
“CHAD’s proposition is compelling: double-digit dividend income, paid every business day, through a Nasdaq-listed preferred security issued by a company with a productive SOL treasury,” said Chief Executive Officer Joseph Onorati.
The new rate represents an approximately 7.7% increase in annual dividend income per share, while payments remain subject to board declaration.
At a $10 purchase price, CHAD’s new rate equates to a 14% annualised cash dividend yield, assuming the rate remains unchanged and dividends are declared and paid.
DeFi Development’s treasury centres on Solana (SOL), with staking, validator operations and other treasury strategies generating returns from its holdings.
The company intends to use proceeds from future CHAD issuances to expand its SOL treasury and pursue growth in SOL holdings per share.
Following the announcement, DeFi Development Corp shares were up 6.94% at $4.16.
