• Crypto startups raised $11.2 billion across 377 funding rounds in the first half of 2026.
• Payments, stablecoins, prediction markets, and exchanges attracted most of the disclosed capital.
• The funding data points to stronger investor demand for regulated crypto businesses.

Crypto startups raised $11.2 billion across 377 funding rounds during the first six months of 2026, according to NeosLegal research.

Payments and stablecoins attracted $3.7 billion, prediction markets received $2 billion, and exchanges raised $1.7 billion.

“There is an irony at the heart of crypto, and it took an $11.2 billion dataset to make it obvious,” NeosLegal founder Irina Heaver said.

Heaver said all disclosed funding went to regulated or permissioned businesses, rather than permissionless projects.

Prediction markets accounted for 34 funding rounds, including a $1 billion round for Kalshi and $600 million for Polymarket.

BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Nasdaq and other financial groups invested in regulated crypto businesses during the period.

NeosLegal said its $11.2 billion figure excludes undisclosed rounds, while Heaver said the six-month period provides only an early view of the funding trend.
