  • Crypto.com’s Nadex exchange has registered with the SEC to trade security futures products in the US.
  • The registration became effective on September 14, allowing the exchange to pursue single-stock futures.
  • Crypto.com is also working with the SEC and CFTC on single-stock perpetual futures.

Crypto.com’s US derivatives exchange Nadex has registered with the SEC to trade security futures products.

The registration became effective on September 14, two days before the SEC acknowledged the filing.

“We are working with the SEC and the CFTC to offer single-stock perps in the U.S., which will combine the innovations of the digital asset markets with the U.S. capital markets,” said Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek.

The registration allows Nadex to pursue single-stock futures, while perpetual futures require further regulatory approval.

Crypto.com had no publicly traded share price following the announcement because the company is privately held.

Nadex operates under OG.com and is registered with the CFTC as a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organisation.

The move follows Coinbase’s filing earlier this month as US crypto platforms seek approval to offer derivatives linked to individual stocks.
