
Cramer plans Bitcoin sale over quantum risk

CNBC host Jim Cramer said he plans to sell Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) after International Business Machine discussed quantum computing risks.
IBM chief executive Arvind Krishna said people should become more concerned about quantum risks within roughly three or four years.
“I am going to sell my Bitcoin,” said CNBC host Jim Cramer.
BeInCrypto said no wallet, filing or exchange record confirms Cramer completed the sale or shows how much Bitcoin he owns.
Google researchers estimated breaking Bitcoin’s cryptography would require 1,200–1,450 logical qubits and 70–90 million Toffoli gates.
IBM recently ran a 70-logical-qubit circuit, leaving current hardware well below the scale estimated for attacking Bitcoin keys.
A draft Bitcoin proposal reported that more than 34% of Bitcoin had exposed public keys onchain by March 2026.
