Cosmos Labs urged affected Cosmos EVM chains to halt validators after an incident reached multiple networks.

KiiChain reported 148,326,583.15 KII (CRYPTO:KII) drained across 18 attacks on 22 August, while TAC also reported a drain.

“An ongoing security incident has impacted users of the Cosmos EVM module,” said Cosmos Labs.

Cosmos EVM is shared software that lets Cosmos SDK chains run Ethereum-compatible smart contracts, potentially linking separate networks to common vulnerabilities.

TAC said one account was drained before validators halted its network at block 24,671, while KiiChain stopped at block 9,355,723.

MANTRA resumed block production after roughly 30 hours and said user balances remained unchanged throughout the halt.

Cosmos Labs has not confirmed the underlying vulnerability, all affected chains or aggregate losses, with an incident report due after the response ends.
