- CoinDCX says customer deposits were credited, active wallets remain unaffected and trading continues normally.
CoinDCX says an operational failure involving deprecated crypto deposit addresses caused losses that the exchange absorbed.
The affected addresses were created in January 2025 and compromised during a July 2025 security incident.
“Our operational process is designed for regular sweeping of any such deposits made so the funds can be properly accounted for and secured,” said CoinDCX in its update.
The exchange said the sweeping process failed for a specific period, with the issue identified on the morning of its announcement.
CoinDCX said users who deposited funds into deprecated addresses still received credits to their affected crypto deposit wallets.
The company said customer assets remain in segregated cold wallets, while current central and user addresses were not affected.
CoinDCX also disputed claims circulating on X, saying the reported transactions involved old addresses and had no connection to its current operations.
The exchange said trading and investing continue as usual, while warning users to verify deposit addresses through its official app or website.
