Coinbase Ventures completed 30 crypto investment deals in the first half of 2026, the highest total among crypto venture capital firms.
Animoca Brands followed with 19 deals, while Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) completed 18 and Tether made 15 investments.
Over the past 12 months, Coinbase Ventures completed 75 deals, more than any other crypto investor.
Crypto companies raised US$1.4 billion in June, down from US$3.8 billion in April, while fundraising rounds fell to 61 from 89 in May.
The number of active crypto investors also dropped to 242 in June from 452 in October 2025.
Decentralised finance, payments, and artificial intelligence attracted the most venture funding over the past year.
United States-based investors committed US$5.8 billion over the past six months, while Australian investors contributed US$3.6 billion.
