Coinbase Global plans to expand its Singapore workforce by 25% over the next year as it increases investment in the country's digital asset sector.
The expansion follows Coinbase's receipt of a Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore in 2023 and its continued growth in the region.
Coinbase said the additional hiring will support engineering, product, compliance and business teams as it expands its regional operations.
The company said the new roles will help meet growing demand for regulated digital asset services across Asia.
Singapore has become one of Asia's leading digital asset hubs through its regulatory framework and support for financial technology companies.
Coinbase continues expanding its international business as it invests in regulated markets across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
