Circle backs Tazapay as funding hits $36M
Cross-border payments firm Tazapay has raised a total of $36 million in its Series B round after a funding extension led by Circle Ventures.
The round also included Coinbase Ventures, CMT Digital, Peak XV Partners and Ripple, as the company expands its digital settlement infrastructure.
“The demand we’re seeing from enterprises and fintechs across Asia, LATAM, and the Middle East is unmistakable; businesses want to move money faster, cheaper, and with full regulatory confidence,”
Said Tazapay chief business officer, Kanupriya Sharda.
Tazapay said the new capital will be used to expand across Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and the Americas, while securing additional licences and building infrastructure for “agentic payments.”
The company currently serves more than 1,000 enterprises and fintechs across 30 countries, with licences in Singapore, Canada, Australia and the United States.
The funding comes amid growing interest in stablecoin-powered payment infrastructure, as firms look to improve cross-border settlement speed and cost efficiency.
Competitors including Ripple and Conduit are also scaling similar platforms, highlighting increasing competition to modernise global payments beyond legacy systems like SWIFT.
