  • Charles Schwab plans to add Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink to its crypto platform.
  • The three assets will join Bitcoin and Ethereum, which are already available.
  • Schwab said the additions respond to client demand for established cryptocurrencies.

Charles Schwab plans to add Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), Avalanche (CRYPTO:AVAX) and Chainlink (CRYPTO:LINK) to Schwab Crypto.

The three assets will become available in the coming months, expanding the platform beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum.

“With this expansion, clients will have more choices to build a digital asset allocation,” said Joe Vietri, Schwab’s head of digital assets.

Schwab Crypto began rolling out to clients in May and currently supports direct Bitcoin and Ethereum trading.

The platform charges 75 basis points on the dollar value of each crypto trade, according to Schwab.

Schwab said the new assets were selected based on client demand and its focus on established cryptocurrencies.

The company also said it plans to add more cryptocurrencies and digital assets to Schwab Crypto over time.

At the time of reporting, Solana price was $108.93.
