Deloitte and Touche completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination for Chainlink’s CCIP and data feeds on April 21, 2026, making it the only crypto oracle platform with a full stack of institutional-grade security certifications.

The certification covers Chainlink Price Feeds, SmartData products such as Proof of Reserve and Net Asset Value, and its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, aligning it with compliance standards used in traditional finance.

This achievement means Chainlink now uniquely holds SOC 2 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 1, and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certifications, meeting the strict requirements typically demanded by institutional risk and compliance teams.

SOC 2 Type 2 differs from Type 1 by validating that security controls operate effectively over time rather than simply being properly designed, a distinction that is critical for banks, asset managers, and other regulated entities.

The Deloitte attestation is expected to act as a procurement unlock for institutions that require third-party verification before deploying technology, particularly as tokenised real-world assets have grown to $27 billion in 2026, with Chainlink positioned as core infrastructure.

Despite these developments and partnerships with institutions including Swift, Euroclear, JPMorgan, UBS, and Fidelity International, Chainlink’s LINK token has remained under pressure, trading around $9.17 on April 23, roughly 50% below late 2025 highs.

Chainlink’s broader trajectory includes handling over $28 trillion in cumulative transaction value and supporting growing cross-chain activity through CCIP, which has averaged approximately $90 million in weekly transfers, reinforcing its role in emerging regulated blockchain markets.

At the time of reporting, Chainlink price was $9.29.
