Chainlink (LINK) has launched CCIP 2.0, adding custom verification controls for cross-chain transactions.
The upgrade lets institutions operate Cross-Chain Verifiers alongside Chainlink’s existing verification infrastructure.
“Institutions need a neutral standard for moving digital assets across chains,” Chainlink Labs Chief Business Officer Johann Eid said in a statement.
CCIP 2.0 also adds built-in controls for KYC, AML, sanctions screening and transaction limits.
Users can also configure settlement speeds, from near-instant transfers to full source-chain finality.
The default Chainlink Committee Verifier uses 16 independent, security-reviewed node operators.
CCIP has secured more than $84 billion in total cross-chain token value.
Following the update, LINK was trading up 2.2% at about $14.34.
