Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis has disclosed a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorised access to its internal systems and tools.
The company detected an external actor using agentic techniques to penetrate internal systems during October 2026.
“We take the security of your data seriously and regret that this incident occurred,” said the Chainalysis Team.
The attackers accessed some customer information, including user IDs, full names, email addresses and organisational roles.
Chainalysis found no evidence of compromised investigation records, transaction results, clear-text passwords, multi-factor authentication secrets or session tokens.
The company has engaged external cybersecurity specialists and deployed large language models to review vulnerabilities and strengthen platform security.
Chainalysis advised customers to watch for unexpected password reset requests and enable two-factor authentication.
The company confirmed the incident was unrelated to the recent Binance cryptocurrency theft, as AI-driven cyberattacks increasingly challenge technology platforms.
