ECB's Lagarde: Says Economy Resilient Despite Energy Shock

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde says the euro-zone economy is "resilient" despite "headwinds" caused by the energy shock. "Growth will increasingly be bolstered by business and housing investment," Lagarde tells reporters. "Export growth should benefit from rising foreign demand, but is being held back by competitiveness," she adds. Lagarde speaks at news conference in Berlin after policymakers voted to increase the deposit rate by a quarter-point to 2.5%, the second increase since the start of the US-Iran war.
