Sarah Jessica Parker, Astrea London Bet Big on Lab Grown Gemstones

Actress and global creative director of Astrea London Sarah Jessica Parker said that she was drawn to the lab grown jewelry company because of the combination of creativity and technology involved in the brand and that she found it exciting to try to 'be worthy' of carving out a new form of luxury in the lab grown diamond business. Parker, who was joined by Astrea London founder Nathalie Morrison, also discussed the future of the industry, which Morrison called 'a different era in luxury' focused on sustainability, craftsmanship, beauty and design.

Trump Plans to Ease Limits on Tax-Exempt Diesel Variety

Tom Kloza, chief energy advisor for Gulf Oil, said that it is unlikely President Trump's proposed easing of limits on tax-exempt 'red-dyed diesel' will do much to bring down the price of diesel and that the only thing that will meaningfully impact high prices is an end to ongoing conflicts in Russia and the MidEast.

Probably Not Enough Money to Fix Paxton Campaign, Says Mulvaney

Mick Mulvaney, former acting chief of staff in the first Trump administration, said Ken Paxton, the Republican contender for the US Senate seat in Texas, is the 'weakest candidate' in this election and that there's 'probably not enough money to fix' him. Mulvaney also weighed in on Paxton's comments to lobbyists blaming the White House for his issues campaigning. Mulvaney said that if Paxton wins it will be due to Donald Trump and that the president is the only person who can get Ken Paxton over the finish line in November.

CH Robinson to Buy RXO for $5.8B in Bet on AI Model

CH Robinson agreed to buy trucking brokerage firm RXO Inc. in a deal centered around a bet that artificial intelligence can help the companies improve efficiency in a challenging freight market. Through a cash-and-stock transaction valued at about $5.8 billion, CH Robinson aims to diversify its business and capitalize on RXO's abilities in expedited and last-mile delivery. CH Robinson, which has been using AI to transform its operations to become leaner, intends to use the system to extract $300 million of cost savings within two years. Lee Klaskow, Bloomberg Intelligence Senior Transport, Logistics and Shipping Analyst says that the $300 million estimate could be conservative.
