US, Iran Exchange Tanker Attacks as War Continues

AfD Win Spells Economic Disaster, Germany's DIW Says

The election win by the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) in the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt is a disaster in economic terms, according to Marcel Fratzscher, president of DIW Berlin. "The AfD basically want to push out foreigners," Fratzscher tells Bloomberg Television. "They forget, of course, that also Germans are leaving, companies are leaving. So it will make the problem a lot worse."

Dangote Aims to Raise $1.6 Bln in Nigeria's Biggest IPO

Billionaire Aliko Dangote is seeking to raise $1.6 billion in what would be Nigeria's biggest initial public offering. Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE is offering 4.1 billion shares at 525 naira ($0.40) each, a company spokesman said Friday. The IPO will open on Sept. 14.
