The Canton Foundation has approved funding for RedStone to develop an open-source institutional pricing framework.
The Canton Network has attracted over 600 institutions, supporting $9 trillion in tokenised assets.
“CAPS lets institutions run repo, collateral and settlement,” RedStone Co-founder and COO Marcin Kaźmierczak said in a statement.
The framework lets institutions use shared reference prices without disclosing settlement values or positions to data providers.
It will also include licensing controls, allowing data providers to enforce commercial terms attached to market data.
Initial development will cover tokenised funds, private-market assets and structured products, with the framework released under Apache 2.0.
The approved grant totals 15.775 million Canton Coin (CC), with a baseline value of approximately $1.83 million.
Following the announcement, Canton was trading down 7.4% at $0.09216.
