Hong Kong-based crypto market maker Auros has launched Aurora, an OTC trading portal giving institutions access to its liquidity across centralised and decentralised venues through a single counterparty.

In this interview, Jason Atkins, Chief Commercial Officer, and Le Shi, Managing Director at Auros, explain how Aurora works, the macro risks facing institutional flows, and the opportunity in Asia.

Aurora combines click-to-trade execution, settlement workflows and reporting in one portal. It has a 24/7 trading desk and uses proprietary technology to source liquidity across venues in real time.

Auros research published on 28 September found that 73% of institutional investors plan to increase their digital asset allocations in 2026, and the firm also runs proprietary trading and a venture arm, Auros Ventures.
