BNY Mellon is exploring round-the-clock settlement for tokenised US Treasuries using Ripple USD (CRYPTO:RLUSD).

The proposal follows growing interest from financial institutions in using blockchain technology to settle tokenised assets faster.

Ripple said RLUSD could support continuous settlement by providing a stable digital payment asset for tokenised securities transactions.

The company said wider adoption of tokenised assets could increase demand for regulated stablecoins such as RLUSD.

Ripple launched RLUSD to support institutional payments and digital asset settlement across blockchain networks.

BNY Mellon has continued expanding its digital asset services as financial firms increase investment in tokenised securities.
