  • Bitpanda Enterprise will provide infrastructure for RBI network banks serving around 18 million customers.
  • The framework builds on RBI’s 2024 Austrian crypto-access model and will roll out progressively.

Bitpanda and Raiffeisen Bank International AG (WBAG:RBI) have expanded their digital asset partnership across Central and Eastern Europe.

The agreement creates a group-wide framework covering RBI’s regional network of around 18 million customers.

“As a customer-centric bank, we are committed to meeting our customers’ needs in the best possible way. We are seeing growing demand for crypto assets in our markets, which we are addressing with a strong, reputable partner,” Raiffeisen Bank International CEO Michael Höllerer said in a joint announcement.

Bitpanda Enterprise will provide the underlying infrastructure, while individual RBI network banks will determine local offerings.

The rollout will proceed progressively, reflecting local market conditions and regulatory requirements across each jurisdiction.

The framework builds on Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien’s 2024 crypto-access integration powered by Bitpanda.

Bitpanda Enterprise combines investment infrastructure, liquidity, custody, payments, stablecoins and tokenisation for institutional clients.

Following the announcement, Raiffeisen Bank International shares were up 1.50% at €64.2500.
