BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo gave Reform UK £4 million across two donations in April 2026.

The Electoral Commission recorded the payments as £1 million and £3 million, making up about 75% of Reform UK’s £5.33 million in accepted donations.

The figures highlight the growing role of crypto-linked wealth in funding Reform UK, which received more accepted donations than other major UK parties during the quarter.

Delo also donated £4 million to Reform UK during the first quarter, according to Electoral Commission records reported by Cointelegraph.

The latest contribution comes as UK lawmakers consider tighter rules for large political donations, including restrictions affecting British citizens living overseas.

Delo previously pleaded guilty in the US to Bank Secrecy Act violations linked to BitMEX and agreed to pay a $10 million fine in 2022.

Delo and fellow BitMEX co-founders Arthur Hayes and Samuel Reed received US presidential pardons in March 2025, according to Cointelegraph.
