BitGo targets 150 broker-dealers with tokenised trading
- BitGo and OTC Markets plan digital asset services for more than 150 broker-dealers.
- The proposal would add tokenised securities to existing regulated trading infrastructure.
- The companies said the alliance could expand as digital asset rules develop.
BitGo and OTC Markets Group plan to bring tokenised securities trading to more than 150 broker-dealers using OTC Link ATS.
The proposal would let broker-dealers quote, trade and settle digital asset securities through the same regulated systems they already use.
Under the proposal, BitGo Bank & Trust would act as the qualified custodian, while Go Network would support settlement between parties.
The companies said the framework could later expand to tokenised assets and commodities as regulations mature.
OTC Markets operates OTC Link ATS, a US Securities and Exchange Commission-regulated alternative trading system used by broker-dealers.
BitGo has continued expanding its institutional digital asset services as interest in tokenised securities grows.
