Bitdeer hires ex-Corsair executive as new CFO
Bitdeer said chief financial officer Jianchun Liu will step down at the end of June and transition into a principal advisor role, with former Corsair Gaming executive Michael Potter appointed as his replacement.
Potter previously served as chief financial officer at Corsair Gaming between 2019 and 2025, where he helped lead the company’s 2020 initial public offering and managed capital markets transactions.
The company said Liu resigned for personal reasons and would continue supporting Bitdeer after the leadership transition as a principal advisor.
Before joining Corsair, Potter held senior finance and operational roles at semiconductor and technology firms including Lattice Semiconductor, Honeywell, NeoPhotonics and STATS ChipPAC.
Bitdeer shares fell about 3% in early trading, although the stock remained near six-month highs as the company continued expanding beyond bitcoin mining into artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure services.
The company recently said annualised AI cloud revenue reached nearly $70 million, while GPU deployments exceeded 4,100 units with utilisation above 90% as Bitdeer increased investment in high-performance computing and colocation infrastructure.
Bitdeer also said it is reassessing several global crypto mining facilities for potential conversion into AI cloud and data center operations, including its Tydal project in Norway, which management expects to become the country’s largest operational AI data center once completed.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $73,233.91.
