- Bitcoin miner stress has entered a historically rare range as profitability weakens across the mining sector.
- Analysts estimate about 20% of miners are operating below production costs, prompting further hashrate declines.
- Some researchers said similar conditions have previously occurred near major Bitcoin market lows, although they do not guarantee a price recovery.
Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) miner stress has fallen to its lowest level of 2026, with multiple mining indicators entering an "undervalued" range as analysts estimate about 20% of miners are operating below production costs.

Some researchers said similar periods of miner stress have historically occurred near major Bitcoin market lows, although they cautioned that past performance does not guarantee future price movements, and as Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) is a cryptocurrency there is no share price available.
Mining pressure has already prompted operational changes, with SBI Crypto announcing it will close its mining pool after five years, while CoinShares (NASDAQ:CS) estimated that between 15% and 20% of miners are currently unprofitable.
