Bitcoin tool targets FUD with research database
A group of Bitcoin advocates has launched an open-source AI tool designed to counter misinformation about Bitcoin using peer-reviewed research.
The tool, called The Bitcoin Evidence Base, was developed by Nordic education platform Bitcoin Beyond 66 to provide quick, evidence-backed responses to common criticisms.
It compiles insights from more than 22 peer-reviewed studies, including research on Bitcoin’s environmental impact and energy use, aiming to challenge outdated narratives.
“The problem is that most people don't have time to read 22+ peer-reviewed papers, Cambridge reports and ERCOT data,”
The group said.
The database generates responses to user-submitted claims, helping users address misinformation on social media with sourced and structured replies.
It also highlights findings such as a 2025 University of Cambridge study showing over 52% of Bitcoin mining uses renewable energy, alongside comparisons with traditional financial systems.
The initiative adopts a communication strategy focused on evidence and empathy, encouraging users to engage constructively rather than escalate debates when addressing Bitcoin-related criticism.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $77,093.77.
