Binance launches regulated UAE dirham gateway
Binance has launched a fully regulated dirham on and off-ramp solution in the United Arab Emirates, allowing users to move funds directly between local bank accounts and cryptocurrency markets.
The service integrates with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and enables Binance users to deposit dirhams with zero fees, subject to a minimum transaction of Dh10 and a daily maximum of Dh7.2 million.
“At its core, this is about trust meeting usability,”
Said Binance head of Middle East, North Africa and Turkey and senior executive officer Abu Dhabi Tarik Erk.
Users can transfer funds between fiat and crypto within the same business day while avoiding foreign exchange conversion costs through transactions conducted entirely in UAE dirhams.
The launch operates under the UAE’s Client Money Account framework, which Binance said provides institutional-grade protections and regulatory safeguards for customer funds.
Binance said the service is designed to lower barriers for first-time crypto users while improving efficiency for existing customers managing both traditional and digital assets.
The development marks another step in the UAE’s efforts to establish itself as a global centre for regulated digital asset activity, with direct bank integration and local currency support helping bridge traditional finance and cryptocurrency markets.
