Binance has launched an 800,000 XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) airdrop campaign to encourage more users to adopt Ripple USD (RLUSD).

The promotion rewards eligible users who buy, hold or trade RLUSD on Binance during the campaign period.

Binance said the campaign is designed to increase awareness and use of RLUSD, Ripple's US dollar-backed stablecoin, across its trading platform.

The exchange has continued expanding support for RLUSD since listing the stablecoin, adding new trading pairs and promotional campaigns.

RLUSD is Ripple's regulated US dollar-backed stablecoin, designed for payments, trading and settlement across blockchain networks.

The latest promotion highlights growing competition among exchanges and stablecoin issuers as they compete to attract liquidity and new users.

At the time of reporting, XRP price was $1.11.
