  • Balancer has proposed an orderly wind-down after protocol revenue fell to about US$30,000 in August.
  • The plan would move pools to withdrawals only from October 30 and distribute the treasury to BAL holders.
  • The proposal estimates the treasury at more than US$9 million at current token prices.

Balancer has proposed an orderly wind-down after revenue failed to recover following the November 2025 exploit.

The proposal says monthly protocol revenue fell to about US$30,000 in August from US$97,000 in June, while monthly operating costs remain near US$150,000.

“With a working product suite, a lean structure and full effort from everyone who stayed, the traction the plan required did not come,” said Marcus, the proposal author.

The plan would stop new business development, move eligible pools to withdrawals only on October 30 and reduce infrastructure to a simplified withdrawal service.

Balancer’s treasury is estimated at more than US$9 million at current token prices, with the proposal calling for assets to be distributed to BAL (CRYPTO:BAL) holders in two rounds.

The wind-down budget would total US$400,000 from November through the final distribution, while contributors received two months’ notice ending October 31.

The proposal remains subject to a Snapshot vote scheduled for September 25–29, with the first treasury distribution planned for May 2027 if the wind-down is approved.
