Aviva Investors has launched a tokenised share class for its £22 billion Sterling Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger, expanding its digital investment offering.

The launch marks the asset manager’s second tokenised fund, following its US dollar Liquidity Fund share class in July 2026.

“We’re thrilled to be able to announce the launch of our second fund in the tokenisation space, with the addition of the new tokenised share class for our GBP Liquidity Fund,” Aviva Investors CEO Mark Versey said in a statement.

Aviva Investors has committed £50 million to the new share class, while investments across its two tokenised offerings exceed £86 million.

The fund uses a “digital twin” model, representing holdings on-chain while preserving the existing off-chain fund structure and its regulatory protections.

Eligible investors with digital wallets can access the tokenised share class, with fund assets held by custodian The Bank of New York Mellon and support from Komainu and Licuido.

The underlying fund targets low-risk returns and daily liquidity through exposure to high-grade, short-term sterling-denominated instruments, retaining the conventional fund’s investment objective and risk profile.

The launch extends Aviva Investors’ use of blockchain infrastructure to distribute regulated money market fund investments in tokenised form.
