Arya.ag puts $2B grain records onchain
- Arya.ag has moved records linked to about US$2 billion of crops onto blockchain.
- The system connects grain deposits, warehouse receipts and loan details for lenders.
- Three major banks are joining the network as Arya.ag expands its blockchain system.
Arya.ag has moved records linked to about US$2 billion of stored crops onto an Avalanche-based blockchain.
The system links grain deposits, warehouse receipts and loan details, helping banks check collateral more easily.
“The L1 is run by Arya,” Ava Labs India head Devika Mittal said.
The US$2 billion figure covers crops stored across Arya.ag’s warehouse network, not tokenised grain.
The physical grain remains in warehouses, while legally recognised electronic warehouse receipts remain the financing documents.
Arya.ag facilitates about US$1.3 billion in agricultural loans each year, while its finance arm provides about US$230 million directly.
Three major banks are joining the network, while Arya.ag plans to eventually open it to other warehouse operators.
