Arbitrum gains Robinhood Chain revenue stream
- Arbitrum will receive a share of Robinhood Chain revenue under its Expansion Program as enterprise Layer 2 adoption grows.
- The revenue model allocates 8% of protocol net revenue to the Arbitrum DAO treasury and 2% to developer funding.
- Robinhood Wallet now supports Robinhood Chain, expanding access to tokenised assets, swaps and cross-chain transfers.
Arbitrum (CRYPTO:ARB) will receive a recurring share of revenue from Robinhood Chain under its Expansion Program, with 10% of protocol net revenue allocated to the Arbitrum ecosystem as enterprise Layer 2 adoption accelerates.
The revenue-sharing model applies to chains built using Arbitrum technology outside Arbitrum One, with 8% of protocol net revenue directed to the Arbitrum DAO treasury and 2% allocated to the Arbitrum Developer Guild.
"As enterprise adoption accelerates, Arbitrum is ready to capture revenue," said Offchain Labs co-founder Steven Goldfeder.
Robinhood Chain is now live in Robinhood Wallet, allowing users to bridge assets from Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), Arbitrum and other supported networks before making swaps within the application, while Arbitrum also said 100% of fees collected on Arbitrum One will continue flowing to its treasury.
Robinhood Chain launched on mainnet earlier this month as an Ethereum Layer 2 network built with Arbitrum technology for tokenised stocks, real-world assets and decentralised finance, while no listed company share price reaction applies to the announcement.
Robinhood has positioned tokenised equities as the network's core offering, enabling eligible users in more than 120 countries to trade tokenised stocks through Robinhood Wallet and supported decentralised exchanges.
The new revenue model links enterprise adoption directly to ecosystem funding, with future revenue for the Arbitrum treasury and developer community expected to depend on Robinhood Chain's trading, lending and on-chain activity.
