  • Anchorage Digital has added custody support for Etherlink and seven assets on the network.
  • The assets include xU3O8, a tokenised claim on physical uranium, plus USDT and USDC.
  • The expansion gives institutional clients access to Etherlink assets through Anchorage Digital Bank’s custody infrastructure.

Anchorage Digital has added custody support for Etherlink and seven assets issued on the Tezos layer-2 network.

The supported assets include xU3O8 (CRYPTO:xU3O8), which represents tokenised physical uranium held in custody.

“Institutions are not short on interest in tokenized real-world assets. They are short on places to hold them that satisfy a risk framework,” said Nathan McCauley, Anchorage Digital CEO and co-founder.

Anchorage also supports WXTZ, stXTZ, USDT (CRYPTO:USDT), USDC (CRYPTO:USDC), USDSM and WETH through Etherlink.

Institutional clients can hold the assets through segregated custody accounts at Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A.

Etherlink is an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible layer-2 network built on Tezos, designed for lower-cost transactions and fast finality.

Anchorage said tokenised uranium can shorten settlement times compared with traditional physical uranium markets, where transactions can involve specialist intermediaries and longer settlement periods.
