  • A survey found 90% of US students support teaching crypto and blockchain in college.
  • Yet 33% rely on social media or influencers for crypto information.
  • Only about 28% of accredited US business schools offered blockchain courses.

A survey commissioned by OKX found 90% of US college students support crypto and blockchain classes.

The survey also found 87% of parents supported teaching the subjects in college.

Among students, 33% said social media or influencers were their main crypto information source.

That figure was nearly five times higher than the share naming schools, teachers or professors as their main source.

OKX surveyed 500 students and 500 parents through Pollfish, with respondents outside the exchange’s customer base.

A separate 2025 review found only about 28% of 533 US universities with accredited business schools offered blockchain courses.

OKX did not disclose the survey’s weighting, margin of error or respondents’ crypto ownership rates.
