xReality Group (ASX:XRG) announced its subsidiary secured its first order from the United States Marine Corps for the OP-2 Interceptor system.

The order follows product demonstrations and evaluations across numerous Marine Corps units.

The deal includes software licences, integrated training hardware, and ongoing updates, with system delivery scheduled for Q2 FY27.

Following the announcement, the xReality Group share price was unchanged at $0.059.

The contract adds a new service branch to the company's existing military clients, which include the US Air Force, US Space Force, and US Army National Guard.

Small drones have become prevalent threats to ground forces, prompting military initiatives to integrate counter-drone skills across general units.
