Worley secures three-year APA Group gas agreement
Worley (ASX:WOR) has secured an engineering services framework agreement with energy infrastructure titan APA Group (ASX:APA).
Under the newly minted contract, Worley will provide comprehensive engineering support across APA’s extensive gas transmission and storage portfolio spanning Australia.
The agreement, which carries an initial three-year term, positions Worley as the exclusive provider under a single-contractor partnering model.
A primary focus of the partnership will involve supporting a coordinated programme of works aimed at expanding capacity across APA's national gas infrastructure assets.
To drive efficiencies, Worley plans to leverage digital enablement tools and standardised reference designs, facilitating highly replicated project delivery across the entire portfolio.
While the majority of the services will be executed from Worley’s Brisbane office, the company will also draw on specialist technical support from its Melbourne hub.
Additionally, operations will be bolstered through close collaboration with Worley's global integrated delivery team based in India.
Chris Ashton, CEO of Worley, welcomed the partnership, highlighting the strategic importance of sustained collaborative relationships.
"Long-term portfolio partnerships are an important part of how Worley works with customers to deliver value over time," Ashton stated.
"We are pleased to support the APA team with this portfolio of assets and to continue building our relationship with APA across Australia’s energy infrastructure sector."
At the time of reporting, the share prices of Worley and APA Group’s were $12.21 and $10.35, respectively.
