Woodside Energy posts US$7.45M half-year operating revenue

Woodside Energy (ASX:WDS) reported a 13% increase in first-half operating revenue to US$7.45 billion.

Operating revenue rose from $6.59 billion last year after average realised prices reached US$74 per barrel.

The business delivered an underlying net profit of US$1.33 billion and declared a 57 US-cent dividend.

CEO Liz Westcott described production, cash flow and shareholder returns in the half as “strong” and noted that Woodside is on schedule to deliver the first LNG cargo from its major Scarborough project in Western Australia in the December quarter.

Woodside stated that the Scarborough energy project is currently 98% complete and tracking to schedule.

Following the announcement, the Woodside share price was down at $33.78.

Woodside noted its broader strategy involves advancing global developments, with the Louisiana LNG project reaching 28% completion.

Woodside announced an annual target for cost savings of US$350 million from 2028, to be delivered through a "structured review" of the business.
