WIN Metals lodges key Radio Gold Project restart permits
- WIN Metals submitted core environmental and mining permit applications to Western Australian state regulators.
- The permit filings represent an essential regulatory milestone to clear the pathway towards mine redevelopment.
- The approvals aim to support recommencing open pit and underground operations at the Radio Gold Project.
WIN Metals (ASX:WIN) lodged major regulatory applications to advance the restart of its Radio Gold Project in Western Australia.
The permit submissions build directly on the project restart study completed in August and an updated mineral resource of 49,600 ounces of gold.
"The lodgement of these key permit applications represents another solid step forward in our restart strategy," said WIN Metals Managing Director and CEO Steve Norregaard.
The filings include a Works Approval application to build a 120,000-tonne-per-annum gravity processing plant alongside a tailings storage facility embankment raise.
The regulatory process will continue as the company evaluates final investment decisions and project financing options.
Following the announcement, the WIN Metals share price was unchanged at $0.017.
The Radio Gold Project features historical production of approximately 71,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 38 grammes per tonne.
WIN Metals holds exploration and development tenure spanning 360km2 across the Southern Goldfields and Kimberley regions of Western Australia.
