WestStar Industrial (ASX:WSI) has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, SIMPEC, has been awarded a new $11 million contract for structural, mechanical, and piping works at the Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia operations in Kwinana, Western Australia.

The project, which will integrate new mechanical equipment into the existing lithium hydroxide processing plant, aligns with SIMPEC's strategy to support Australia's energy transition.

Work is set to commence immediately, with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

TLEA, a joint venture between Tianqi Lithium and IGO (ASX:IGO), owns the Kwinana Lithium-Hydroxide Processing facility, which is managed by Tianqi Lithium Kwinana.

SIMPEC Managing Director Mark Dimasi expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying the company looks forward to delivering the project safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, while thanking the TLEA team for their support.
