Western Ridge expands Nevada project footprint by 500%
Western Ridge Resources (ASX:WRX) announced a major expansion of its flagship Keystone Project in Nevada, USA, following the strategic staking of 248 additional lode claims.
The move increases Western Ridge's total landholding in the highly prospective district by approximately 500%.
The newly acquired claims add roughly 4,960 acres of prospective ground directly surrounding the existing project area.
The newly secured land contains multiple historic mining workings, yet it has never undergone any systematic modern exploration.
Initial geological assessments indicate that the newly acquired claims cover a footprint with geology interpreted to be identical to the original Keystone site.
The critical expansion establishes Western Ridge in a dominant regional land position within the emerging Pershing Trend, an area highly prospective for valuable tungsten, silver, and gold deposits.
Managing Director Dr Matthew Cobb stated that expanding the landholding capitalises on the company’s early entrant advantage in the region.
Dr Cobb noted that Western Ridge is currently undertaking a comprehensive historical data compilation and review across the expanded area.
The company plans to deploy systematic exploration techniques to evaluate and assess these additional mineral targets.
At the time of reporting, Western Ridge Resources’ share price was $0.024.
