West Wits Mining  (ASX:WWI) announced the granting of a new prospecting right, PR 10839, to its subsidiary, West Wits MLI, by the South African Department of Mineral & Petroleum Resources.

Strategically located adjacent to the company's existing Mining Right (MR 10073) at the Witwatersrand Basin Project in Johannesburg, PR 10839 provides a depth extension to the Kimberley Reef ore body at the Qala Shallows Gold Project, supporting West Wits’ ongoing expansion plans.

Geological consultants, Shango Solutions, have been commissioned to review and remodel the existing Kimberley Reefs mineral resource estimate, incorporating data from the newly granted area and evaluating the resource at a lower cut-off grade, reflecting the significant increase in gold prices since 2017.

PR 10839 forms a seamless extension to the existing prospecting and mining rights, contributing to the broader development of the Stage 4 Qala Deeps Project.
