West African Resources (ASX:WAF) produced 125,179 ounces of gold during the June quarter.
Year-to-date gold production reached 232,905 ounces, keeping the producer on track for its annual targets.
Gold sales for the three-month period totalled 110,737 ounces at an average realised price of US$4,556 per ounce.
The company stated that underground material from its M1 South deposit increased 60% from the previous quarter.
Following the announcement, the West African Resources share price was down at $2.93.
Broadly, the company continues to manage its core gold operations at the Sanbrado and Kiaka centres in Burkina Faso.
The business previously advanced pre-strip mining activity at the Toega open pit to expand its regional asset base.
