Webjet Group names Nicole Sheffield as new CEO

• Nicole Sheffield appointed as managing director and chief executive officer of Webjet Group.
• The company's share price rose 2.50% to close at $0.41 following the announcement.
• The executive transition aims to drive digital innovation, commercial growth, and long-term value.

Webjet Group (ASX:WJL) executed an agreement to appoint Nicole Sheffield as its permanent managing director and CEO, effective July 20.

This leadership change follows the resignation of the former managing director and chief executive officer on May 29, after which Layton Shannos served as acting chief executive officer for an interim period.

“Nicole will lead the execution of the company's strategy, with a focus on sustainable growth, driving operational excellence and innovation and delivering long-term value,” said Webjet Group Interim Chair Dr Gary Weiss.

Sheffield brings more than 25 years of experience leading commercial growth and digital innovation, having previously served as managing director of Wesfarmers OneDigital and executive general manager of community and customer at Australia Post.

Following the announcement, the Webjet Group share price was up at $0.41.

The permanent executive appointment comes after the company reported a 19.70% decline in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation to $28.1 million for the second half of fiscal year 2026.

The corporate strategy under the new leadership will focus on expanding international flight market share and building upon the company's digital platforms and consumer marketplaces.
