Vmoto secures global MotoGP electric scooter deal
Global electric vehicle pioneer Vmoto (ASX:VMT) announced an agreement with Spanish-based MotoGP Sport Entertainment Group to produce and distribute three exclusive MotoGP-branded electric scooters.
The alliance positions Vmoto as the official MotoGP electric scooter supplier, granting the company unprecedented access to the premier world championship's global stage.
The partnership leverages the reach of MotoGP, which boasted a record-breaking fanbase of 632 million by late 2025 and attracted 3.6 million trackside attendees.
With over half of its fans under the age of 35, the sport provides a direct pipeline to the tech-savvy, eco-conscious demographic central to Vmoto's growth.
Under the terms of the deal, Vmoto-branded products will feature prominently at European MotoGP events, and the company will deploy fast-charging and battery-swapping stations at authorised MGP Group locations.
MGP Group is 84% owned by Liberty Media, the powerhouse behind the Formula One Group, offering Vmoto further exposure to the elite Formula One audience.
Executive leadership expects this high-profile collaboration to drastically enhance global brand awareness and serve as a primary catalyst for sales growth through the 2026 to 2030 financial years.
At the time of reporting, Vmoto's share price was $0.14.
