Vitura Health appoints Tom Howitt as interim CFO

Share

Vitura Health (ASX:VIT) announced the immediate appointment of Tom Howitt as interim CFO.

Howitt, who previously served as Vitura's CFO for seven years, steps back into the role to ensure operational continuity and strong financial stewardship.

His deep understanding of the company's financial profile and strategic priorities will support CEO Justin James and the wider finance team during this transitional period.

The appointment comes after the sudden resignation of former CFO Andrew Cook on June 3, during his probationary period. Providing further context to the departure, Vitura confirmed that Cook’s decision followed an unsolicited external approach for a senior role.

The board acknowledged that whilst the timing of this executive change is not ideal, they respect his choice to pursue a unique professional opportunity aligned with his long-term career aspirations.

Looking forward, the leadership transition creates a distinct opportunity for the recently appointed CEO, James, to spearhead the global recruitment process for a permanent CFO.

The company is actively seeking an experienced finance leader with a proven track record in driving operational performance within the healthcare or technology-enabled sectors.
