Medical technology startup Vexev has raised $8.6 million to fund regulatory clearance for its automated imaging platform.
The new investment capital increases the Sydney-based company's total funding to $27 million.
"We believe high-quality vascular imaging should be available wherever patients receive care," said Vexev CEO John Carroll.
The company stated that the platform is initially being developed for upper-limb vascular imaging in dialysis patients.
The technology combines robotics, artificial intelligence, and ultrasound to automate non-invasive medical imaging processes.
New investors TreeArc Investment Group, TEN13, Bioshore Ventures, and Alumni Ventures backed the funding round.
