Verity Resources (ASX:VRL) announced a pivotal 20% increase to the mineral resource estimate at its flagship, wholly owned Monument Gold Project in Western Australia.
The update elevates the project’s global inventory to 2.5 million tonnes grading 1.72g/t gold for 137,700 contained ounces, a milestone underpinned by an extensive 11,000-metre reverse circulation and diamond drilling campaign.
The programme delivered a maiden open-pit Indicated estimate of 1.18Mt at 1.75g/t gold, alongside a maiden underground component totalling 77,100 ounces situated beneath the Korong and Waihi pit shells.
The dual-structure resource provides Verity with immediate "starter" pit potential and clear long-term optionality through depth extensions.
The upgraded MRE is the result of rigorous geological remodelling and the revalidation of historical data, supported by new twin holes and geotechnical core sampling that have significantly bolstered mineralisation confidence.
Director Patrick Volpe noted that achieving the Indicated category conversion provides a robust platform for the company to transition towards formal development and mine planning.
Verity is now aggressively advancing scoping-level technical studies and evaluating third-party processing pathways within the prolific Laverton region.
At the time of reporting, Verity Resources’ share price was $0.018.
